ESSENCE

This is our life force, the deepest part of our being, the driving force behind all of our thoughts and actions. Surrounding and influencing our essence is the intertwined relationship of Body, Mind and Soul.

STRENGH

Strength is the expression of muscular force on an external object. At every stage of our lives we need a certain amount of strength to function, whether simply to walk or to lift a heavy weight.

SKILL

Skill is the ability of the brain to coordinate simple or complex movements via neural pathways in an efficient and effective manner. The more complex the task the greater the time requirement to practice and perfect the task.

SUPPLENESS

Suppleness is the mobility of the joints and the flexibility of the muscles, and connective tissues. Everybody needs suppleness to move and function optimally within their environment.

SPEED

Speed is the ability to control the velocity of muscular contractions and thus movements, whether slow, fine motor control is required such as painting or large, fast contractions such as running.

STAMINA

Stamina is the expression of both muscular endurance and cardiovascular function, which include the lungs, heart and circulatory systems.

SUSTENANCE

Sustenance is the ability to sustain our body. In practice this is optimum nutrition and the ongoing eating habits and strategies to help you maintain correct weight and muscle balance, organ function, homeostasis and longevity.

SPIRIT

Spirit we define in the non- religious context. Both Spirit and Soul are closely related, we however use spirit to describe an individual’s motivations and desires to perform their daily actions and interactions. And the power behind their thought processes both positive and negative.

STRUCTURE

Structure is your musculoskeletal system and how it functions in life. It comprises of muscles, joints, connective tissues and the bones that make up structure. Pain is the overriding complication with structural deficiencies, back pain being the most prevalent. We use our breadth of knowledge to create a body structure, which functions smoothly and crucially is painfree.

SLEEP

Sleep allows recovery and restoration of the body and mind and is an essential element in the World of Wellbeing. The amount, quality and pattern of sleep can create a spiral of good or bad health. We look carefully at this important component and make small but important interventions to promote healthy sleep.

GROWTH

We naturally want to grow and develop in our personal and professional lives. Whether through learning and education, creativity, positive habit formation, financially, via new experiences or personal challenges; this facet is a flowing river through all areas of our being. WORLD VIEW & IDENTITY

World view is how we view the world and how the world views us. It encompasses belief systems and personal identity. Religion, culture, politics, economics, and nature all influence World view. SENSES

Our senses comprise of sight, smell, taste, hearing, touch, vestibular, and proprioception. They are constantly adjusting and adapting to old and new experiences. Without adequate stimulation of the 7 senses the mind and body can be negatively affected, thus it is essential that we interact with our environment in a way that enlivens our sensory perceptions and builds important neural pathways.

RELATIONSHIPS

Relationships are embedded deep within our history and culture. They comprise personal, professional, intimate and family. And importantly there is the relationship with one’s self which is often overlooked- subconscious thoughts, self talk, motives and values. A healthy balance must be achieved depending upon individual circumstances and desires.

EMOTIONAL DIMENSION

Humans experience a huge range of emotions, the primary emotions being fear, happiness, sadness and anger.
